Financial controller – Laois

Financial Controller – Co. Laois – Permanent

Main responsibilities would include:

  • Manage day to day accounts function (AP/AR) and staff and ensuring best customer and supplier relationships all companies four off
  • Operating and maintaining an efficient and effective financial control function and managing cash flow
  • Reviewing and implementing cost control systems and procedures
  • Cost accounting and margin analysis
  • VAT
  • Monthly Management accounts
  • Producing and analyzing reports (e.g. sales reports, monthly management accounts)
  • Grant applications and claims
  • Board packs
  • Investor relations
  • Treasury function and managing financial assets
  • Budgets
  • External relationships (e.g. Revenue, Banks, Auditor, financial advisors, EI )
  • Statutory reports
  • Reviewing accounts system and recommending/implementing improvements and controls
  • IT Systems
  • HR Duties
  • Liaise with other staff on projects like Lean program, ERP selection and implementation
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time by the General Manager or Managing Director

Experience and Qualifications

  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a manufacturing industry
  • Sage Proficient
