Human Resources Manager (County Kilkenny)

Award winning hotel property has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, innovative HR Manager to join their team.

The role’s primary responsibilities will be:

  • To provide advice and coaching in all aspects of HR and related issues
  • To be responsible for the effective administration of the HR function and all related reporting matters
  • To ensure property wide compliance with company policy and procedures, employment law and other related relevant legislation and regulations, including but not limited to aspects of health and safety, data protection etc
  • To assist in the recruitment, selection and development, evaluation, management, retention and succession planning processes
  • To identify, analyse, devise and ensure delivery of an appropriate training and learning and development programme
  • To ensure appropriate compensation and benefits management
  • To ensure budgetary knowledge and expense management in all relevant areas
  • Performance and absence analysis and management, grievance and conflict resolution
  • Employee recognition, rewards and social and CSR activities

The successful individual will have the following:

  • Evidence of robust understanding of and practical application of Irish employment law
  • 5 years’ Human Resource (at least two at management level) experience and demonstrable record in the role’s key areas of responsibility
  • Third level HR related qualification/CIPD accreditation
  • Previous hospitality experiences a distinct advantage
  • IT proficient
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
  • A problem solver and forward thinker with a strategic, proactive, positive and persuasive approach
  • A highly motivated and innovative leader, with an ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a wider team, and inspire and stimulate pride, loyalty and integrity and standards driven team performance from others at all levels
  • A highly visible, professional and accessible support to management and staff
