Optimize your LinkedIn profile

Creating a strong LinkedIn profile can set you apart from other jobseekers during the coronavirus outbreak. Many people look at LinkedIn as an online CV, they list their credentials, add a little blurb about who they are and hope that someone is intrigued enough to network with or hire them. What they, and likely you, don’t know about LinkedIn is that it is a powerful search engine that has the power to drive targeted, high-volume traffic to your profile. Take the time to perfect your CV

Ultimately your CV is your calling card and your most important sales tool. It should go without saying that it needs to include basic information such as your contact details, employment history including dates, and education. Look at your CV through the eyes of perspective employer!

Practice for Video Interviews

You have probably conducted many FaceTime calls with friends and family and as a result, are comfortable with this mode of interaction. It will be easy to fall back into an informal tone as that’s what you’re used to. Remember that this is an interview and you need to keep it professional. Video job interviews have become, and will continue to be, an essential part of the hiring process since the coronavirus outbreak. It will be the “new normal” for the foreseeable future.
